A safe workplace is defined as a productive environment with the necessary measures to avoiding workplace injuries and damage to equipment, facilities and workers resulting in fewer expenses and more profit for a business.
Workplace safety is often understood in different ways depending on the nature of the business and their respective operations and environment. Many industries and workplaces have specific types of safety concerns and it is critical that this concept is defined and understood in the context of each business in relation to its nature, activities and operations. Therefore, workplace safety consultancy required will vary from one organization to another and thus, the policy should reflect the particular needs and operation of the organization preparing the policy.
Generally, the issue of workplace safety is highly regulated by strict locally and internationally recognised laws and policies.
